Terry Rigsby

A special thank you goes out to Pat, Jennifer, Benny, Fritts, Gail & Donna for all their efforts. It was great seeing everyone and a lot of stories and laughs were shared.

Benny may need some further donations for the band. He came out of his pocket for most of the expense. The band was great!

Sorry that we did not get to the memorials for our deceased classmates. Time went by so fast. I promise that Pat had that on our agenda to cover.

Please pass on this website to every classmate you meet or talk to and make sure that they give us contact information. Jerry Fritts has worked way too hard to let this site become dormant or stale.

We would appreciate any comments, positive or negative, about the reunion. All suggestions are welcome and wanted.

Keep in contact!

Thank you,
Terry Rigsby

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the Reunion; seeing everyone. Thanks to all that really worked hard for this occasion. Those that didn't come really missed a good time. I can't dance (two left feet), but I enjoyed watching those that could. I hope we do get together again soon! Thanks again for all you did to make sure we had a great time!

OK Gerry, I admit we did overwork Fritts, we're all guilty and did I ever tell you, rain makes me sad. LOL
I'm so glad you thought enough of all of us to come such a long way to be at our class reunion. And, I love your photos you shared with us on your profile ! Thanks!
Intent to check on Mickey Hill this week to see if he's doing better, will post as soon as I find out.
Thanks again to all that helped make the night, one to remember.
Losing my Mom was so hard and I still find myself really lost without her here. Jerry Fritts was right there at Erlanger Hosp. when Edd and I returned the morning of the 26th of Aug. knowing once Ann, my sister (who lives in Alaska) joined the the other four of us, we would take life support off. I watched Vickie sign the papers on her (Vickie's)birthday. We sat in a room together, the five of us waiting for the Dr to tell us Mom had taken her last breath. Edd had warned me not to be in the room with Mom once they took the life support away, so the others decided to listen to him too. It's been over two months and it still hurts as bad as it did that day. Thank all of you for your prayers, calls, cards, flowers, e-mails, visits to funeral home and donations to the church my parents raised us in.
I needed to be with all of you at the reunion and to have fun. I love you all !

Terry,Don't worry about the band $, a party like that was well worth the money.I had the advantage to get a sneak preview of how great the reunion was going to be by working with some former classmates, and calling to invite others.Do you agree that we are a close knit group of friends? Everyone involved in planning this event worked hard ( Pat lived it for a few weeks )and I
want to thank them for that. I don't know how everyone else feels , but Carolyn and I are about ready to relax a little and enjoy life a little more, especially grandchildren. A little more time off might mean seeing some old friends more often.
Was great seeing the Smithson's, very nice of them to join us

At the next reunion when Ben's C.F.Review 21st Century Band takes its breaks I suggest a little "karaoke"! How funny would that be? Can't you just hear Rigsby and Correll crooning "Unchained Melody" or Donna Walker and Pat Valentine singing "Stop! In The Name of Love"!
I need a soprano to sing "The Phantom of The Opera" duet with me.
Well, it's almost Halloween OOOOOOOOHH, "Listen to them, the children of the night, what music they make!" (Dracula)

At the next reunion, our ears will be 60+ years old. So on their behalf, please, no karaoke. Benny, your band was great. It was good to hear you, Rick and Tommy especially. I did have to tell my daughter, who came with me, what C. F. Review stood for. She got a laugh out of that. It was nice to see the turnout we had, just wish we could have had more. Everyone I have talked to said they had a good time and don't want to wait so long before getting together again. Thanks for all the kind comments made to us serving on the reunion committee, it was our pleasure.

Gail:

You weren't supposed to know about that! Ha!
Glad you had a good time. Thank you for your work as always. You have always been there for us.

I talked to Mickey Hill this evening. He is feeling OK, just sorry he scared everyone and made Rick and Deb miss the boat ride. I think he would welcome calls from anyone who would take the time. He lives with and takes care of his 90+ year old mother. He was a shy, quiet guy in school, and seems still to be the same. So give him a call if you can. His number is 423-842-3668.

Hello Everyone. Thanks to all involved in getting everthing arranged for the reunion. I know as we age a little, everything seems to take a lot to get it done. I appreciate the sacrifices you all made for our enjoyment. I really enjoyed seeing everyone there. It was a fun time. I have been to all the reunions and always loved it. I was raised in Dallas Hollow and wasnt able to hang out with the Daisy and Soddy folks that much. I was not involved in anything at school either. I just wanted to get it over with. But I consider my classmates as friends and get a kick out of looking at the Annuals and remembering what fun times school was. I look forward to the next get together, wherever and whenever. Just let me know. Ya'll contact me anytime.

Thanks to everyone who was responsible for a great party. Gloria Crawley Heard and I closed down a few bars and got home a 4:30. I only had one blister on my foot from dancing so much in those high hills. The band was great. Do they play somewhere we can go see them?

Had lots of fun, can hardly wait for the next one.

Hi everyone! I am so happy to hear that you had such a great time at the reunion. I would have really enjoyed coming and meeting all of you that Dad talked so fondly of over the years. I really would have enjoyed seeing the Smithsons also. My brother and I are Soddy Daisy High School alumni and I was lucky enough to be there when Mrs. Smithson was a guidance counselor. I also had Jody Norris as my US History teacher--I wonder if he remembers me?. I only wished my brother could have had him too. I am glad to hear Mickey Hill is doing OK. He and my dad were really close friends, he went fishing with us on several occasions while we were growing up. Dad still tried to keep in touch with him even after we stopped attending church at Falling Water Baptist Tabernacle a year or so before dad died. We now go to church with Mickey's sister-in-law Sara and she keeps us informed of how he and his mother are doing. I only wish dad was still with us as he would have loved to sung some of the "oldies but goodies". He also loved to dance. I can't help but laugh to this day everytime I hear somebody say "move" and I can see my dad standing there and start shaking his hips and dancing around, saying "see, I'm moving". I hope that maybe we will be able to attend the next get-together and I can hear first hand some of the stunts dad pulled on you guys.

Jerry, love the new look also, you're way too good to us. Thank You so much !!
I plan on having all profiles finished by Dec. 31st anyone that wants to meet with me in SD to work on this project, pls e-mail me, we have lots to do and can have fun monthly meetings taking care of this.
Also, the DVD will need a group to help put that together for us to buy and raise money for flower fund, again another fun productive meeting. Sign up with me or Jennifer. We need lots of photos-- old school photos, other class reunions, this past reunion and the ones in our class memorial and any info from their family members.
If anyone didn't get a class photo at Riverboat Co. let me know, Tina and I met with that company this past Sat. about the photos, the photo had some red eyes in it, this is being worked on and will get corrected. Pls do not call and order one until I can get this problem resolved. If any questions e-mail me or call me (678)581-9831.
The SD community newspaper will have a write up about our reunion, hopefully the issue for Wed. Nov. 12th or Nov. 19th. I also have photos to give Fritts to put on site. Surprise Jerry !!!! More Work for you--- Did anyone else take photos??
Did any one leave a digital camera on Riverboat, they have it in their safe, again e-mail me for info.

I am so sorry I could not attend the reunion but I was physically unable. I am taking physical therapy for a "BAD" fall on September 2. I truly missed all of you!! I would like photos sent to me to prepare for the next opportunity to see "all of you." I'm so glad everyone had so much fun. Our 60th birthday "get together" will hopefully be much easier on me. See "you'll" then.

I don't know who it was that said "When I wake up in the morning and see the grass from the top side, I know it is going to be a good day!" I could not agree more.

Hello classmates of 1968 and families. I hope you all are well and "... seeing the grass from the top side.." as Gerry Taylor once said. I saw Leland Redden last week and we talked about 2 hours. It was real enjoyable talking about the good old days. My grandson is going to the 2nd grade next year. I have a lot of good days with him. I better not start bragging or this will be a long note and probably bore you all. You know what I mean. Somebody post a message and let us know what is happening with you. Everybody have a great, safe, and fun summer, stay in touch, take care of yourself.
Looking forward to another reunion, Donnie

Hey guys, I'm still up and running, well not running, I am needing a knee replacement replaced. Yep, who else but me could foul up a titanium knee. Oh well, he can't get to it till Sept. so I will hobble all summer. GOOD NEWS. My daughter's best friend of 21 years (my adopted daughter-her Mom died 4 years ago, so I sat in as the almost Mother of the Bride) had a BEAUTIFUL baby girl today June 2nd. I am as proud as if it was truly my own. I tell Melisa that Kristi was born from my body, but she was born from my heart. The baby's great grandfather was Rev. Warren Beavers who was Pastor at Daisy Church of God when we were all in school. Some of you probably still remember him. Sorry I have rattled on and on, but I am in excitement mode.
Come on guys, let's here from more of you. Keep in touch.
Gail
